Summer English Programme

North Shore Language School offers 4 - 12 weeks Intensive English Programs for students who want to learn English as well as experience New Zealand life and Culture!

Here are some of our program's highlights

  • Homestay: Students will live with New Zealand families while they are studying at NSLS (no more than two students per homestay family).

  • We select families carefully for their friendliness, their lifestyle, and for the quality and location of their homes.

  • New Zealanders have a reputation for hospitality. Homestay families can become your friends for life.

  • Homestay includes 3 meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • You will have a comfortable room of your own, with workspace for study. Alternatively we can select a suitable Korean homestay.

  • Classes: Students will be divided into classes with 12 students or less each, according to students placement test result including an oral test.

  • Classes will run Monday-Friday, total 30 hours per week including activities.

Emphasis on development of speaking and listening skills, with attention to correct pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar usage. The classes will have various activities requiring student participation, including pair and group discussion activities, problem-solving activities, language games, as well as discussion of excerpts from movies, music, and other authentic English-language materials.

Group activities will allow students to use English that they have learnt in class. Students can experience New Zealand culture outside the classroom, they will have opportunities to interact with New Zealanders, and also have fun!
