English Programs for students who want to learn English as well as
experience New Zealand life and Culture!

Homestay: Students will live with New Zealand families
during their time of study at NSLS (no more than two students per
homestay family).
We select families carefully for their friendliness, their
lifestyle, and for the quality and location of their homes.
New Zealanders have a reputation for hospitality. Homestay families
can become your friends for life.
Homestay includes dinner and breakfast on weekdays and full board
at weekends.
You will have a comfortable room of your own, with workspace for study.
Alternatively we can select a suitable Korean homestay.
Classes: Students will be divided into classes with 10 students or
less each, according to students placement test result including an
oral test.
Classes will run Monday-Friday, total 24 hours per week.

Communication Skills class:
9:00 am ~ 9:50 a.m. / 10:00 a.m ~ 10:45 am / 11:00 am ~ 11: 55 am / 12:00 pm ~ 1: 00Pm./1:10pm ~2:00pm
Class time: 9.00am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9.00am to 1pm Wednesday (24 hours a week)
(5 hours class each day, with a 15-minute break in the middle)
Emphasis on development of speaking and listening
skills, with attention to correct pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar
usage. Will include various activities requiring student participation,
including pair and group discussion activities, problem-solving activities,
language games, as well as discussion of excerpts from movies, music,
and other authentic English-language materials.
Group Activities: Winter In New Zealand
( Mon - Friday 1:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. (or later in some cases)
Summer In New Zealand (Monday 1: 30 ~ 5:00 PM)
Summer In New Zealand (Friday) 1: 30 ~ 8:00 PM) (or later in some
cases, Korean food provided for dinner on Fridays)
Afternoon group activities will allow the students to use the English
they are learning in class, experience New Zealand culture outside
the classroom, interact with New Zealanders, and have fun! Whenever
possible, teachers will tie the content of their lessons to the afternoon
activities to follow.

in English to New Zealand Schoolchildren |
Students will help to prepare and present
short talks on their native cultures to groups of New Zealand
schoolchildren.
The schoolchildren will be given the opportunity to ask questions
of students about their native cultures. NSLS teachers will
guide the students through the preparation process and give
feedback on students¡¯ presentations. |

| Students can tour the largest university
campus in New Zealand, learn about its history, and see the
facilities. |

| Students can tour the well known schools
in New Zealand, learn the Education system and Observe the classroom
activity and see the facilities. |
| Auckland Museum

| On this tour students can learn about the
history of New Zealand. This museum has an art gallery, a great
hands-on discovery area, and areas dedicated to science, technology
and the New Zealand history. |
| Auckland Zoo |
| Auckland is home to more than 2,000 magnificent,
fascinating and exotic animals, as well as 70 acres of scenic
river views, spectacular valley overlooks, beautiful landscapes
and significant historic landmarks. Here students can practice
their knowledge of English animal names and behaviours. |
| Shopping trip |
| NZ has many great shopping areas. Students
can go to Westfield Shopping Mall to spend the afternoon shopping.
Teachers will assign a list of activities that the students
should do while they are there (e.g. find out how much a pair
of shoes costs). Students will also be given free time to visit
stores of their choice. |
| Swimming
and Picnic |
| After a picnic lunch, students will enjoy
an afternoon of swimming. Summers can be hot in New Zealand
so an afternoon in the swimming pool will be great fun! In case
of rain, students will go to an afternoon movie at a local movie
theater. |

There will be other afternoon activities. Additional social activities
and outings may be planned by host families in the evenings and weekends.
** The Saturdays-Sundays of each weekend may also involve activities
hosted by the students¡¯ particular homestay families.
*** Deposit per student (applied to tuition): $500 if student applies
through authorized agent (or $1000 if not through agent).
Deposit for each student must be received 15days before the student
start.
The deposit will be applied to tuition. Deposit is nonrefundable and
the application fees are not refundable.

Program package for any group of 10 or more students based on the
above program. This package can include different program start dates,
lengths and intensiveness (i.e. more or less than 24 hours of classroom
