CANDIDATES WILL GAIN

- Oral language and communication skills and strategies appropriate to a range of social, study and work situations;
- Experience and confidence in speaking to an audience;
- A widely respected New Zealand - based qualification.

ASSESSMENTS

Assessments will give candidates the opportunity to:

- Demonstrate their communicative skills in everyday and specialized language;
- Demonstrate prepared and impromptu oral language;
- Explore and extend their use of oral language;
- Make individual and group presentations;
- Share their own or their second language culture with the group.

All assessments are conducted in a supportive environment by qualified and experienced professionals.

- Introductory
- Foundation
- Intermediate
- Senior
- Advanced

SKILLS

Oral language ability is extended with:

- Talks;
- Storytelling;
- Reading alound;
- Role play;
- Message relaying;
- Solo and group drama;
- Poetry;
- Discussion.

The choice of subjects for these tasks will be related to student strengths and interests and should be an integrated part of the teaching programme
